Transfer Students

Admissions

Welcome! We are pleased that you are considering the AAIMS as your choice for medical education. Students are accepted in three enrollment semesters January, July, and September.

AAIMS Student Guild

From orientation day, students are welcomed by the Guild Council and are ushered into the AAIMS student experience. The guild plans various activities throughout the year that are outlined in The Guild’s calendar of events. Some of these events include voluntary programmes, fundraisers and activities for leisure. Students are encouraged to get involved in the various guild committees, as well as to attend monthly guild meetings.

Our Campus

AAIMS Campus is located in the town of Black River, the capital of the parish of St Elizabeth, Jamaica.Today, the town is a quaint, serene place where Community tourism is highly promoted.

COVID-19 Updates

September 20, 2021 Our Black River campus remains open and functional adhering to strict COVID-19 safety protocols. All students are encouraged to get vaccinated.
Preclinical Sciences Classes: We welcome all students back to our Black River campus to in-person learning. Students who are unable to return due to travel restrictions or for any other reasons please request exemption from Registrar’s Office. Decisions regarding any exceptions to in-person attendance will be solely at the discretion of the institution and will be final. Starting January 17, 2022 academic term, remote study will NOT be an option for any students.
Clerkship Students: All clerkships are available. Please reach out to our clerkship department for scheduling.
